Susan Price Cook, creator of the many beautiful quilts on display at the Arts Center during the month of October will give a “Quilt Chat” on Saturday, October 13 beginning at 11 am.
The chat begins with a brief history of quilting and where it appears to be heading today. Susan will detail how she got started in quilting and explain the different techniques of quilting, especially as they pertain to the pieces in the show, such as pieced, appliqué, embroidery, broderie perse, and hand and machine quilting. She also will touch on what judges are looking for inquilting shows and competitions and how to make a winning quilt. Questions and comments from the audiences will be welcome. There is no charge for the chat.
